We went to Okinawa to see old castles.

Okinawa is located in subtropical region. it's in the same latitude as Houston in Texas state.
The average tempareture is 20°C(68°F) these days.

Castles in Okinawa are very different from Main Islands in Japan.

These heritages were destoryed almost completely by the world war .
All of them are on the way to reconstruction.

Okinawa is surrounde by beautiful sea. There are many beautiful flowers there. Cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

I will write another Okinawa in my next blog.

Sharing with Lisa Gordon'sThe Creative Exchange.

What a lovely and interesting castle, Minor.

And it must be nice to be in Okinawa. :) Okinawa is warmer than Tokyo right now, right? ^^

    赤いお城はとてもカラフルなんですね。
    中国っぽいです!^^
    沖縄といえば、やっぱり中国風なんですね。
Whenever I see beautiful structures such as these, I always wonder what it took to build them. Truly these are amazing Minoru, and I thank you so much for sharing them with us today at The Creative Exchange.

    Have a wonderful day!

    London Caller様 こんばんは。守礼門に書いてある、「守礼之邦」とは中国に対して礼を尽くすという意味だそうです。沖縄の首長は中国から冊封を受けてました。

Wonderful castle. Even the ruins seem to preserved greatness of the old castle. I love the gate in the first photo and attention to details.
    Greetings from Carmen
What a beautiful place to visit, Minor! The reconstructed buildings are beautiful, but I think the ruins at the original sight are really spectacular as well!
