    FLOWERS IN BOUSOU PENINSULA

       都内から3時間位房総半島に向かって車を走らせると、こんな標識に出会います。

       Going forward to the Bousou peninsula about 3 hours by car from Tokyo, you would find this kind of traffic sign.

        ここまで来ると色々な花に出会えます。

       The bousou peninsula located southern area compared to Tokyo, so this area is warmer than Tokyo.
       And you can see various kind of flowers in a hillside  and a field.

       スハマソウ(州浜草)または ミスミソウ(三角草) キンポウゲ科です。

      This pinky white flower's name is Mealy Primrose. It is very rare in this area.

       コセリバオウレン(小芹葉黄連、キンポウゲ科)です。 5cm〜10cmの大きさです。

       The name is Coptis Japonica var, major, each flower has a pistil and stamens. and about 5~10cm high.

       コセリバオウレンの雄蕊だけの花です。雌蕊は退化しています。

       The same flower of above photo,but a pistil was degenerated. There are only stamens, so each flower looks white only.

       This is Pieris Japonica.

        This flower is named  Edgeworthia Chrysantha. These are buds.

       沢山の花が見られてラッキーでした。

       It was very lucky for us that we could see various kind of flowers.

      GREAT OCEAN ROAD

          タスマニアからメルボルンに戻って The Great Ocean Road 沿いの町に2泊しました。

         After leaving from Tasumania to Melbourne, we atayed 2days in the Great Ocean Road area.


          最初の日は奇岩の観光です。 The first day was sightseeing of miracle rocks.

         紅の豚のロケ地です。   Loch ard gorge.
          this gorge was used as the sercret island of the movie named "Crimson Pig or Porco Rosso."

         ロンドンブリッジです。  London Bridge in Australia.  This island was connected with the mainland.  One day center area had fallen. so this scenery is called London  Bridge.

                 
          二日目はこのグレートオーシャンロードの一部を4時間かけてウォーキングしました。

         The second day , we walked the part of the Great Ocean Road  for four hours.

         海岸も歩きました。海水はとても冷たいです。

         We walked the seashore. The sea water was very cold.

         高い所も歩きました。 We also walked a highland area.

         途中でガイドが Blue Tongue Lizard(トカゲ)を捕まえました。

         On the way of walking The guide caught a blue tongue lizard.

         メルボルンに戻る途中でコアラを探しました。コアラとは現地の言葉で「水を飲まない」という意味です。
         Coming back to Melbourne, we looked for wild koalas. koala means "not drink water" in the native laungue.

         ユーカリの木の高い所に居るコアラを見つけました。

         We found many koalas in eucalyptues, but they stayed in very high position.

         これは、その後に行ったHealesville Sanctuary のコアラです。

         this ia a koala in the Healesville Sanctuary.


         その後メルボルンの近くで蒸気機関車に乗りました。

         After that, we got on a small steam locomotive near Melbourne.

         でも人々はとても陽気でした。   People were very cheerful. I have never seen this kind of scenery.

         最後の夜のメルボルンで私はミュージカルのメリーポピンズを見て帰国しました。

         The last night in Melbourne, I went to see The musical comedy of Mary Poppins in the Her Majesty'S theatre.

         My feeling was as follows.

          TASMANIA

               オースタラリアのトレッキングツアーに参加しました。 最初の目的地、タスマニアに三泊しました。参加したのは私を含めて6人です。

             I attended a Australia trekking group tour. The first deatination wasTasumania. We stayed 3 days in Tasumania. There were 6 guests ,one tour conducter and one Australian Japanese guide.

              このクレイドル マウンテン ロッジに泊まりました。

             We stayed this Cradle Mountain Lodge 3 days.

             ダブ湖です。 遥か遠くにクレイドルナウンテインが見えます。 朝9時ごろまでは湖面が鏡の様でこの山が湖面に写ります。

              This is Dove lake. You can see Cradle Mountain far away.  Untill around 9 AM,the lake looks like a mirror. You can see the upside down Cradle mountain at the surface of the lake.

                今日から20日までタスマニアとオーストラリア南部へ、トレッキングに出かけます。

                I go to Tasmania and the southen part of Australia from today untill 20th by trekking tour.

               私はラップトップパソコンを持っていませんので2週間ぐらい経ったらここに戻ります。

               I do not have a  laptop personal computer. So I will come back here about 2 weeks later.

               This is the Aborigine's plate that I bought three years ago in Sydney..

                タスマニアデビルに会えるでしょうか。

               南十字星をまた見る事が出来るでしょうか。

               Can I happen to see Tasmania devils?

               Can I see The Southen Cross?




                 

              小石川後楽園 UME BLOSSOM

                  都内には旧大名庭園の都立公園が幾つかありますが小石川後楽園もその一つです。

                 There are some former feudal lord- gardens in Tokyo.  This garden is one of them. And managed by Metroporitan Goverment.

                 1629年に造られました。

                 Originally, this was made in 1629.

                  桜と梅がとても綺麗です。

                 This garden characterrized by cherry -blossoms and ume-blossoms. Ume -blossoms are similar to Plum.

                 Various kind of ume-blossoms are blooming.

                 There are big difference the way of enjoying between cherry-blossom and ume-blossom.

                 About cherry-blossoms, we enjoy them looking at many many flowers at a glance. But about ume-blossoms, we enjoy looking at each flower one by one.

                河津桜    CHERRY -BLOSSOMS

                    この旅行の途中に河津桜の原木を見に行きました。

                   We went to see the origin tree of Kawadu cherry-blossom.

                    河津桜は全てこの一本の原木から差し木によって増やされました。

                   All of many other cherry-blossom trees origin is this tree. Kawadu means this town's name.

                   この桜は二分咲きの様です。 ソメイヨシノに比べ一カ月近く早く咲き、花弁も赤みがかってます

                   This tree was just started to bloom.  The distinctive characteristic of this kind of tree are as follows.
                    1.
                   start to bloom about one month earlier than common cherry-blossom trees.

                    2.
                    the petals of blossoms are  more reddish than common cherry -blossom' petals.

                   There will be many people two weeks later. They would walk along the Kawadu river. Both banks of Kawadu river there are many many Kawadu cherry-blossom trees like the endless lines.

                   この木は差し木でのみ増やせます。

                   There is only way of propagation by cutting to have more same kind of trees.

                   この河津桜は温泉が近くに有るために満開でした。

                   This clone tree was in full bloom, because there was a hot spring near the tree.

                   下田に戻りまして寝姿山の山頂にロープウエイで行きました。

                   Coming back to Shimoda city,we climbed the center mountain of Nesugatayama mountains by cable car.

                   この山の頂上には寒桜が咲いていました。

                   Kan-cherry blossom trees are in full bloom in the center mountain of these mountains. Kan means cold weather in Japanese.

                   In more than one month later, ther are mamy beautiful cherry -blossom flowers are in full bloom in Tokyo.
                   

                  爪木崎  DAFFODIL

                       伊豆半島には春が来ていました。  1泊2日の旅行に妻と行きました。

                    Spring has come in IZU Peninsula. It located south -westen area from Tokyo, and about 170km far from Tokyo. Twent two days trip with my wife.

                     伊豆半島南端の爪木崎の海岸です。

                     This shore is located southen area in IZU peninsula. we say TAMEKIZAKI.

                     海水はとても綺麗です。

                     The seawater is very clear and clean.

                       この海岸のそばの丘が日本水仙の群生地です。

                     Japanese daffodils grow in colonies in the hills by the sea.

                     野水仙 群生地と書いてある岩があります。

                     The stone is carved and painted  by Japanese letters. "Wild Japanese daffodils grow here in colonies"

                     白く見えるものはすべて水仙です。

                     All daffodils look like only white.

                     ここが観光名所になったので、植えられている水仙も沢山あるそうです。

                     There are many planted daffodils here too.

                     We can feel the scent of daffodils very much and feel very happy too.

                     I remebered the song of" SEVEN DAFFODILS."
