                I went to Tanegasima island for three days to look for flowers. It takes 100 minutes by airplane to go to Kagosima from Tokyo. And you need to change the airplane to a another one and takes more 30 minutes to go to Tanegasima.

                  The fifth castle and sixth castle are located in Kagawa prefecture.

                 Takamatu castle.  This is Tukimi yagura fort.  The castle tower had destroyed  about 120 years ago, because of being old. This castle is located seashore at that time. You can see a car ferry boat left side in this photo. This fort was built in 1676 AD.

                TRAVELLING AROUND CASTLES IN SHIKOKU

                   There are 8 main castles in¡¡Shkoku.  I travelled around all of them by 4 days.  I want to write 4 castles in this blog.

                   »Í¹ñ¤Ë£¸¤Ä¤Î¾ë¤¬Í­¤ê¤Þ¤¹¡£¡¡£´Æü´Ö¤Ç¤½¤ÎÁ´Éô¤Ë¹Ô¤Ã¤ÆÍè¤Þ¤·¤¿¡£¡¡¤³¤Î¥Ö¥í¥°¤Ç¤Ï¡¢4¤Ä¤Î¤ª¾ë¤ËÉÕ¤¤¤Æ½ñ¤­¤¿¤¤¤È»×¤¤¤Þ¤¹¡£

                   I went to Ehime prefecture by airplane. It takes 70 minutes from Tokyo.

                    This is a castle tower, located in Uwajima castle. This tower was built in 1671AD.
                    The characterristic of this tower is a big entrance.  A castle tower is kind of a fort.   It was very peacefull era when the tower was built. So the entrance is so big.

                  ¡¡¡¡Climbing up the stairs, there was a gate. Inside of the gate. there is the castle tower and there were many wooden buildings.

                  ¡¡The castle tower is located in the central area. This tower was rebuilt about 1990 AD.
                    Both sides, there are forts. Left side fort was built in 1860 AD. Right side was in 1859 AD.

                  ¡¡Matuyama castle. This castle is located on the Katuyama mountain,which is 132 m high. We would go there by cable car.
                   The castle tower was built in 162£· AD.

                     Castles were the symbol of feudalism when modern government started.
                    So modern govenment issued the castle destruction law in 1873.

                      Among the main castle, Only one castle main building remains in Kochi and 12 castle towers remains in Japan.

                    ¡¡Each side of the roof, there is¡¡a Shachihoko.The Shachihoko is a imaginary creature, a face is like a dragon,a body is like a fish.  It is belived that Shachihoko would bring a good luck.

                    ¡¡Japanese people like to see castles very much. This castle tower remains miraculously even now. It was very lucky for us.

                    FOUR DAYS TRIP TO WESTERN JAPAN

                        Starting from Tokyo by a bullet train, we arrived at Okayama, then went to Kurasiki by a local train.

                      ¡¡This area remains a old days scenery or about 100 years ago. We visited here this March. So this is the second time visit in this year.

                      ¡¡This is the garden in ADACHI mesuem. This museum is famous for collections of Japanese painting and beautiful garden.

                       We say this kind of art as " borrowing landscape". The harmony of a garden and natural mountains is very beautiful.

                      ¡¡This is IWAMI Ginzan Silver Mine and its Cultural Landscape.

                       This site of silver mine is designated as a World Heritage. The reason is that this silver mine protected natural landscape¡¡and forests very much.

                      ¡¡This is a temporaly main building of IZUMO TAISYA shrine. Main building is under repair. This shrine is very famous in Japan.

                      ¡¡This is Kagura building. This building would be used varios kind of ceremony.
                       This straw festoon is 3.5 tons. It is most heavy straw festoon in Japan.

                      ¡¡There are no influence of nuclear contarmination in Western Japan and the holidays are lasting in this week.

                       There were many people everywhere in this region.
