    LAKES AND SWAMPS IN AUTUMN

       We went to Urabandai in Fukushima prefecture. Here is about 100km far from Fukushima nuclear plant.

       裏磐梯に行きました。ここは福島原発からは、約100km離れています。

       It was just autumn leaf season at Urabandai. There are many lakes and swamps here.

       丁度、紅葉のシーズンでした。ここには多くの湖や沼があります。

       We have a campain [Cheer Up the North East] to help victims with  tunami,earthquake and nuclear explosion.  One of them is as follows.

       If you go to travel, you should choose the North East area.

       I went to the North East area 3 times after the Big Disaster.

       「がんばれ東北」の願いも込めて、この地に行きました。

      LOOKING FOR AUTUMN LEAVES

         Looking for autumn leaves, we walked on the foot of Kiso-Ontake mountain, located Nagano prefecture.

         紅葉を求めて木曽御嶽山の麓を歩きました。ここは油木美林と言います。

         Walking through Japanese cypress forest, we arrived one fall and the another fall.


         ヒノキの森を歩いて行くと、2つの滝に出会いました。

            左が、こもれびの滝、右が不易の滝です。

         There was Mountain Maple tree on the roadside.

          道端にヤマモミジ、カエデ科が小さな葉を紅葉させていました。

         Next day,we went to see very beautiful place,called Nezame no Toko in Kiso river.

         翌日、寝覚の床という。有名な場所を見に行きました。

         And then ,we went to another forest to see autumn leaves again. This tree is named Disanthus cercidifolius. There are flowers and seeds in this tree.

         それから赤沢自然休養林という森に蓋浴び紅葉を見に行きました。 これは、マウバノキ、マンサク科です。花も実も付いています。

         We enjoyed the two day trip very much.

         1泊2日の旅をとても楽しみました。

        HIRAIZUMI (WORLD HERITAGE)

            After disturbances of war, One baronial family or Hujiwara family survived at North East area in Middle age.

           中世の度重なる戦乱ののち、藤原一族が東北地方で生き残りました。

           The family was in hight of their prosperity from 1087AD to 1189AD.

            彼らは1087年から1189年まで、その栄華を極めました。

           Inside of Konjikido. This building and buddhism statues were original,built at 1124AD. To take photo is prohibited, so I scaned the pamplet.

           中尊寺金色堂の内部です。1124年に建立されました。写真撮影は禁止されているのでパンフレットをスキャンしました。

           After about 600 years, Matuo Basho came this area. he compose a very famous Haiku.

                           A mound of summer grass:
                              Are warriors'heroic deeds
                                Only dreams that pass?

            約600年後に、ここに来た芭蕉は有名な一句を詠いました。

              夏草や つわものどもが 夢のあと

          LAKE TAZAWAKO

              After leaving snow mountains in Aomori prefecture, we went to Iwate and Akita prefectures.

             青森県を後にして、岩手県と秋田県に行きました。

             Lake Tazawako.The deepest lakein Japan. The depth is 423meters.

             田沢湖です。 水深423mで日本一の深さです。

             It was cloudy day. The sun appeared suddenly at around 3 pm.

              曇りでしたが、3時頃太陽が突然顔を出しました。

             On the other side of the lake, there is a Torii,or the gate to a shrine.

              対岸には鳥居が有ります。

             There is Gozanoisi Jinnja shrine. The Torii faces to the lake. There is a famous Tatsuko legend in this lake.
             There is a stone statue in this shrine and a golden statue by the lake.

             対岸には辰子伝説で有名な御座石神社があります。 この神社に石像の辰子、湖畔に金色の辰子の像が有ります。

             Before coming here, we climbed Hachimanntai mountain on a rainy day.

             ここに来る前、雨の中を八幡平に登りました。

             There were many small crater swamps in this mountain.

             ここには沢山の火口沼が有りました。

             The next day, we planed to climb Akitakomagatake mountain. But because of heavy rain, We gave up to climb the mountain.
             We stayed in a hotel enjoying hot spring hotel's baths

             次の日は秋田駒ケ岳に登る予定でしたが激しい雨のため断念し、ホテルの温泉を楽しみました。

             The last day, we went to a famous hot spring through beech forest.

              最終日はブナ林を抜けて有名な温泉に行きました。

            On the way to the hot spring, we could see two berries.

             温泉に行く途中で二つの実を見つけました。

             There are a few hot springs inside of the buildings.  We could feel hot spring water is spouting from the bottoms of these hot springs.

             ここには5,6か所の温泉があります。 温泉の底から熱い湯が出てくるのを感じる事が出来ました。

            FIRST SNOW TO SETTLE ON MOUNTAINS

                We went to most northen prefecture in mainisland or Honshu. We had a plan to climb Iwaskisan mountain and Hakkohda mountains and to enjoy red leaves of autumn.

               青森県に行き、岩木山と八甲田山系に登る予定でした。

               高田大岳です。

               But by the previous midnight's snow, The road to Iwakisan mountain was closed,so we went to near Hattukohda mountains and observed many plants near the mountains.

               前日の深夜からの雪で岩木山へ行く道は閉鎖されました。 しかたなく、八甲田山系の近くで植物観察をしました。

               右が小岳、左が八甲田大岳です。

               In the afternoon, the weather became fine. So we could see mountains with first snow.

               午後になって天気が良くなり初冠雪の八甲田山系を見る事が出来ました。

               Next day, we went to one of Hattukohda mountains by cable car.The snow depth was 5~8cm.

               ケーブルカーで八甲田山頂駅まで行きました。 雪の深さは5〜8センチでした。

               Going down the mountain by cable car, we went to the other starting point of a trail up a mountain.  Climbing up the mountain about one hour. We arrived at very  beautiful area.

               ケーブルカーで山を下り、別の登山口へ向かい、ここから1時間ほどでとても紅葉の美しい所に行くことが出来ました。

               On the way of this tour,we could see various kind of berries.

               この旅の途中で多くの植物を見る事が出来ました。
