        We went to Yasyu-Naganono-Sato or Private botanical garden in Tochigi-prefecture to see Egret flowers.

       栃木県の野州永野の里という個人が経営する植物園にサギソウを見に行きました。

      サギソウ
       Sagisou or Egret flower. This flower belongs to the orchid family.

      TAKAMINE KOUGEN HIGHLANDS.

          We went to Takaminekougen Highlands in Nagano prefecture.

         長野県の高峰高原に行って来ました。

        高峰高原
         Takamine Kougen Highlands. It's about 2000 meters above sea level. We could see wvarious kind of flowers as usual.

         標高約2000m の高峰高原です。いつもの様に様々の華を見る事が出来ました。



        ヤナギラン
         Yanagiran. (Fireweed)

         ヤナギラン、アカバナ科です。

        アキノキリンソウ
         Akino-Tamurasou.

         アキノタムラソウ、キク科です。

        群生
         Yanagiran and Akino-Tamurasou flowers grow in colonies.

         Usuyukisou (Japanese Edelweiss).

        FOUR MOUNTAINS IN YAMAGATA 2/2

            We went to Mt. Hagurosan. This is a very small mountain.

          三神合祭殿
           There ia a shrine building whuch is roofing with thach. We can worship three shrine gods all at once  which are Mt.Gassan's shirine,Mt.Yudonsan's and this mountain's.

           三神合祭殿です。 月山、湯殿山、羽黒山の三つの神社をここでは、まとめてお祈りすることが出来ます。

          鐘つき堂
           There is a bell Tower just near the shrine.

           合祭殿の近くにある、鐘つき堂です。

          五重塔
           A five storied pagoda. This pagoda and the bell tower were used as Buddism buildings.
            Shrine buildings and temple buildings were coexisted in ancient times.

           国宝の五重塔です。昔は、神社とお寺が共存していました。

           Then we went to Mt.Yudonosan.

          鳥居
           There is a big Torii(the gate of shrine) halfway up the mountain.

           湯殿山の中腹にある、大きな鳥居です。

          風景
           The scenery from the halfway  in Mt.Yudonosan.

             湯殿山の中腹からの眺めです。

           It takes about 10 minutes by dedicated bus to go to the shrine. It is prohibited to take pictures in Mt.Yudonsan shrine. 
           So I have no photos in the area.

           湯殿山神社は撮影禁止なので、写真は有りません。 御神体と呼ばれる大きな岩に温泉が流れている所を裸足で歩きました。

           月山、羽黒山、湯殿山を出羽三山と呼びます。

           Then we went to Mt.Tyoukaisan.

          ブナ林
            Shishigahana marsh in Mt.Tyoukaisan. There are many Japanesebeech trees.

           獅子ヵ鼻湿原のブナ林です。



          あがりこ大王
           The biggest drformed Japanese beech tree in this area.  This area would be covered with deep snow.  Many people would cut these trees to make a lot of charcoal in winter. 
           So many deformed trees were remained there.

           あがりこ大王と呼ばれる奇形ブナの木です。 冬場に炭を作ったのでこの様な形のブナが多く残りました。

          元滝
           Moto-taki Falls.  The Falls were made by underground water.

           元滝、伏流水です。

           Generally speaking, it is highly possible that there would be a shrine in mountain named Mt.~~~san.  there would be no shrine named Mt.~~~-Dake.

           一般的に言って〜〜〜山という所に葉神社が有り、〜〜〜岳という山には神社が有りません。

              We went to four mountains in Yamagata prefecture. I want to start from Yadagahara marsh in Mt. Gassan.

             山形の4つの山に行って来ました。最初は月山の弥陀ヵ原湿原です。

             Hakusan-Huuro.

            ミヤマリンドウ
             Miyama-Rindou.

             Hakusan-Shajin.

             ハクサンシャジン、キキョウ科です。

             Hakusan-Shajin flowers grow in colonies.

             Shirobana-Touichisou.

             Yama-Hahako.

            NORTH EAST AREA IN HOKKAIDO

                This is my fifth trip to Hokkaido in this year.  Sapporo is capital in Hokkaido.
              Sapporo is located in the same lattitude as Munich and Milwaukee.

               We went to the north east area in Hokkaido. I felt autumn was just coming..

              オシンコシンの滝
               Oshinkoshin Falls.

              多和平牧場
               Tawadaira pastures. We could see thr horizon very far away.

               多和平牧場です。 地平線が見えました。

               We got on the sightseeing ship to see falls.

              おーろら号
               This ship is named Aurora .

               おーろら 2 と言う船に乗りました。

              オホーツク
               Okhtsk sea.

               オホーツク海です。

              カムイワッカの滝
               Kamuiwakka Falls flow into the sea directly. The falls contain sulfer. So the color of the sea looks like green.

               カムイワッカの滝です。硫黄が含まれているので海がグリーンに見えます。

              Next day, we walked around Shiretoko area.

              ソルベの滝
               We went to Sorube Falls.

               ソルベの滝まで行きました。

               Then we had a plan to go Shiretoko five lakes. But there were a few wild bears in that area, We could go only Shiretoko first lake.

               知床五湖を歩く予定でしたが、ヒグマがいるという情報が有り、知床一湖だけしか行けませんでした。

              知床一湖
               Shiretoko first lake.  We colud go to this lake, because there is elevated wooden road to this lake.

               知床一湖までは高架木道が有るので安全に行けます。

              ヒグマ
               We could see a wild  bear cub by the elevated wooden road.

               高架木道から、すぐ近くに子供のヒグマを見る事が出来ました。

              羅臼岳
               Mt. Rausudake.  The highest mountain at Shiretoko, it is 1660 meters above sea level.

               羅臼岳です。 知床最高峰で標高1660メートルです。

              夕日
               We could see the sunset from the garden of the hotel where we stayed.

               ホテルの庭から日の入りを見る事が出来ました。

               We could see several kind of flowers as usual.

              キオン
               Kion.

               キオン、キク科です。


              ヘラオオバコ
               Ribwort Plantain.

               ヘラオオバコ、オオバコ科です。

              シオガマギク
               Shiogama-Giku.

               シオガマギク、ゴマノハグサ科です。

              ノコギリソウ
               Chinese yarrow.

                ノコギリソウ、キク科です。

              ヒメオドリコソウ
               Purple Deadnettle.

               ヒメオドリコソウ、シソ科です。

              クサフジ
               Kusafuji.

               クサフジ、マメ科です。

              ナミキソウ
               Namiki-Sou.

               ナミキソウ、シソ科です。

              ホザキシモツケ
               Hozaki-Shimotuke.

               ホザキシモツケ、バラ科です。

              SIGHTSEEING AT WESTERN AREA IN HOKKAIDO

                  We travelled western area in Hokkaido.

                 At first, we went to Ainu people museum village at Shiraoi town.

                 The village master statue.

                アイヌ
                 They wear Ainu people's native dresses.  Ainus people are native people in Hokkaido. It is said most of them married with Japanese people one or two generation ago.

                支笏湖
                 Lake Shikotuko. We stayed a hotel by the this lake.

                 支笏湖です。この湖のそばの旅館に泊まりました。

                小樽
                 Otaru city.  There are many old warehouses along this canal.

                 小樽の運河に沿って立ち並ぶ倉庫です。

                余市
                 Old day's main building for herring catching at Yoichi city.. Fishermen could catch a lot of herrings until around 1935AD.

                余市の 福原番屋です。 ここでは昭和10年ごろまで、ニシンが大量に獲れました。

                内部
                 Inside of the main building.

                書庫
                 This is the building for valiable things.

                 重要な書物などを保管した倉です。

                黄金岬
                 Ohshima island from Cape Ohgonmisaki. Located the Sea of Japan.

                 The Famous Rock.

                 弁慶の刀掛磐です。

                夕日
                 The evening Sun at the Sea of Japan.

                 積丹半島から見る 日本海の夕日です。

                 We went to a agrecultural coperative to see Watermelon  automatic discrimination and encasement at Kyouwa Town.

                 共和町の農協でのスイカの選別の見学です。

                 There are many watermelons.

                 沢山の「らいでん」スイカです。
